What about that Patriots place set up, worth it?

CBS Scene is decent if the Pats game is later in the day and you want to watch the 1pm games. I went a couple weeks ago and entered on the ground level thus avoiding the large line on the 3rd floor entrance. Couple other decent bars up there but I usually prefer drinking outside unless there is a game on at 1 that I want to see or its raining

we tried to go into CBS during halftime of the Titans game and watch the 2nd half from there but there was an hour wait just to get in. Not sure if the long line was due to the shitty weather, its the only time I've tried to go in there.

There is a side door on the bottom floor that you can enter and then walk up to the top. Not sure if its always open but before the Falcons game I entered on the ground floor and then walked upstairs and saw a line about 200 deep

Going to the game this sunday, wanna show up early and have a few beers. Anyone got suggestions.

Not sure what your budget is or driving/parking accomodations. But Boston Butler has a (roughly) $75/head deal that includes full open bar, all-you-can eat (quality grub), private port-o-potties, private warm/indoor area, etc.

They have a garage right next to Rodman. I've used them a few times and was very satisfied. No lugging beers, coolers, food, don't have to cook, and can absolutely get your $75 worth (they even do pre-game shots).

He passed up seeing one of the greatest games in Pats, if not NFL, history to see a college basketball game.

Greatest games in NFL history? I was at the game and the first 3 qtrs were pretty boring (especially for a playoff game). It was a great finish and a memorable game but it was far from the greatest game in NFL or Pats history

It was one of the most surreal sporting events I've ever attended, between the weather and the giant emotional swings. 'Greatest' and 'memorable' are subjective as hell. But the last few minutes and circumstances made the first 3 boring quarters moot, resulting in an amazing game that instantly became part of NFL lore (not unlike the last SB, which went from boring to a classic in one quarter).

I was at that game and I have been to many many big games (sox/celts/bruins/pats). I would not trade that game for any other game I could think of. The ONLY exception would be the Pats/Rams super bowl. What made it so great was the combination of the weather, gate way to the first super bowl victory, last game at the old stadium and first tail gate I brought my fire pit to. The whole day was fantastic.

Don't get me wrong it was one of the most memorable games I've ever attended. I'm just saying that the first 3 qtrs of the game were pretty boring.

question on cbs scene during home games. Do you just stay for hours after the game getting smashed or do you sit in terrible traffic? i'd like to go there for a game once but it just seems like the worst possible idea in history to do so.

You're better off going there for an away game if you really want to go there. Last year I headed down that way when the Pats were away and hit up the Pats HoF first and then into CBS at 1pm to watch the game. It was pretty good. You drive right up to the bar, park for free and leave with no hassle.

Congrats on the engagement

I went to CBS scene last year, for an away game, and left. The bar was packed and we had no chance at getting near it and no one was leaving. We were going to put in for a table but they had some ridiculous rule about only being able to sit at a table for like two hours and then you had to leave the table. How stupid is that.
I can't even imagine how packed the place must be for a home game. Just do the tail gate thing and relax after the game, don't try to rush out. Chill out for an hour or so and miss most of the traffic.

^^ correct answer

I heard about the time limit thing too but wasn't sure. Who wants to sit down and have a meal and few beers and then be forced to get up and either leave or go stand in some crowded area with presumably a bunch of drunk assholes.

Buy a cheapo $20 charcoal grill and park in the lot directly next to Dunkin Donuts (Take a U turn at the last traffic light before the Stadium, drive up the road 50 yards and take a right), pay $40 and tailgate like there is no tomorrow. After the game you'll be out of the lot within a minute and, depending on how quickly you leave Gillette, should be on 95 and heading home in no time.

The uconnbuck story reeks of a lone wolf situation. It's going to be 60 degrees in November and he's looking to sit in Davio's.

Belichick has to be pissed about the upcoming schedule. After this week, two Sunday nights, a monday night, and a 415 start. Pats go 3-2.
